The No. 10 Navy women’s lacrosse team was edged, 19-16, on the road by No. 6 Florida on Tuesday afternoon at Donald R. Dizney Stadium in Gainesville, Florida.
The Midshipmen (5-2) built up an early 10-2 lead in the first half, but the Gators (5-2) kept chipping away before taking the lead late in the second half and earning the victory.
“We came in really strong,” head coach Cindy Timchal said of her team’s performance. “Unfortunately, despite the fact that we had had great energy on both offense and defense, we came up a little short.
