NAVY WOMEN’S SOCCER: The 2018 schedule for the Navy women’s soccer program was released on Monday and the 19-game slate will feature 11 homes games, 10 non-conference matches and nine Patriot League contests. Home games versus 2017 NCAA Tournament participants, North Carolina State and USF, as well as Maryland and Army highlight the Mids’ slate this coming season.
Under the direction of 26th-year head coach Carin Gabarra, Navy kicks off its 2018 campaign with a high-level matchup on Aug. 16 versus North Carolina State (15-5-2) at home. The Mids went 16-4-1, won the Patriot League regular season title and finished runner-up to Bucknell in the postseason championship final, while the Wolfpack won 15 games, including a first round NCAA Tournament matchup versus Arkansas by a score of 4-1.
