Taylor already faced myriad challenges taking over a Navy women’s basketball program that had compiled a 17-42 record over the course of two straight losing seasons. Doing so amidst a pandemic only served to complicate matters.
Due to an abbreviated nonconference schedule and multiple postponements since Patriot League play began, Navy has played just four games since Dec. 18.
Since conference action commenced on Jan. 1, the Midshipmen have seen four weekend doubleheaders postponed. Navy has been forced to pause basketball activities twice and enter a mandatory 10-day quarantine because of positive tests within its program.
