The Navy women's basketball team used a strong fourth quarter to build enough of a cushion to record a 55-43 victory over Loyola Wednesday night at Reitz Arena in Baltimore. The Mids improved to 10-2 in Patriot League play this season (17-6 overall) with the win and remain tied with Bucknell atop the league standings with Bucknell, while the Greyhounds saw their records fall to 5-7 in league play and 9-14 overall.
The win also was the 400th in the 19-year head coaching career of Stefanie Pemper.
"I knew at the start of the season that if we had a good year it would happen this year, but I didn't know it happened tonight," said Pemper.
