NAVY-TULSA AT A GLANCE

NAVY KEY: STUFF THE RUN

The Midshipmen have done a terrific job of making American Athletic Conference opponents one-dimensional so far this season. Memphis and South Florida in particular could not run the ball against Navy, which leads the league in both scoring defense (18.4 points) and total defense (350.3 yards). "They've shut down those same offenses that we've struggled with," Montgomery said of Navy's defense. "They're going to keep the box loaded up and be patient. They don't give up big plays. They're an extremely strong, physical team." It all starts with the defensive line comprised of nose guard Bernie Sarra, tackle Will Anthony and end Amos Mason.
