Lauren Barber had simple goals when she first arrived in Annapolis. Swim fast. Beat Army, of course. Win some races at the Patriot League championship. Oh, and at the NCAA championship, too. The one where the Olympians compete.
“NCAAs was always a goal of mine,” Barber said, “but all of the accolades that have come along with it, I didn't expect.”
In her last season with Navy, Barber became the most decorated athlete of any sport in Patriot League history. She claimed gold in all 16 relays and 12 individual events she swam at the Patriot League championships in four years, as well as her third female swimmer of the meet honor.
