Freshman right-hander Noah Song is in no rush to become the ace of Navy's pitching staff. His effort on Sunday helped delay that transition for at least another week.
Song, the Patriot League Rookie of the Year, pitched 81/3 solid innings, and Robert Currie sparked the offense as top-seeded Navy defeated fourth-seeded Bucknell twice on Sunday, 5-3 and 13-6, to capture their Patriot League Tournament semifinal series two games to one.
Navy (40-13-1) improved on its program record for victories and will now set its sights on the Patriot League championship series against second-seeded Holy Cross.
