NEWPORT, R.I. — Navy football has long been defined by its patented triple-option offense. For the previous four years, Keenan Reynolds has been the face of that unique attack.
Reynolds has graduated, along with 10 other starters on offense. That amount of turnover on the offensive side of the ball has caused many national prognosticators to downgrade the Midshipmen, who were ranked No. 18 in the final Associated Press and USA Today polls.
"I saw some preview magazine that had us ranked something like 68th," senior inside linebacker and defensive captain Daniel Gonzales said Tuesday during the American Athletic Conference Media Day.
