Navy offense has holes to fill during spring camp

Navy's offense entered spring practice needing to further develop a starting quarterback, find depth along the offensive line, solidify a backup fullback and find playmakers at the slotback and wide receiver positions.

Rising junior Zach Abey has a firm grip on the starting quarterback position after starting the final two games of last season. The Archbishop Spalding product struggled mightily in the first half of the Army-Navy game, but settled down and directed two touchdown drives in the second half.

"In the Army game, there was nothing I could do or any coach could do to calm his nerves," Navy offensive coordinator Ivin Jasper said.
