Navy offense faces Husky challenge

HARTFORD, Conn. — Navy has used its potent triple-option offense to run roughshod over two opponents this season, piling up 93 points and 894 total yards in blowout victories over Colgate and East Carolina.

The Midshipmen figure to meet a lot more resistance on Saturday at Rentschler Field.

Connecticut boasts the best defense in the American Athletic Conference and has already proven that it can stop an option attack. The Huskies rank No. 1 in the AAC in both scoring defense and total defense, allowing an average of 13.7 points and 279.3 yards.
