Navy not pointing fingers in wake of three-game losing streak

PHILADELPHIA — One thing you will never find within the Navy football program is people pointing fingers. The Midshipmen suddenly find a once-promising season spiraling out of control, but coaches and players alike are willing to accept responsibility.

Navy played poorly on both sides of the ball in being beaten by Temple, 34-26, on Thursday night. An announced crowd of 26,127 at Lincoln Financial Field and a national television audience on ESPN saw the Midshipmen pretty much fall apart in suffering their third straight loss.

Head coach Ken Niumatalolo strode into the post-game press conference and said the current losing streak along with the fact Navy was pretty much dominated by a Temple that that had been struggling of late fell on his shoulders.
