Central Florida and Memphis will battle for the American Athletic Conference championship.
Again.
The two schools will meet Saturday in Orlando for a rematch of last year’s thriller, a 62-55 double-overtime win by UCF. It will also be the second meeting this season; UCF rallied from a 16-point deficit to beat Memphis 31-30 on Oct. 13.
This time around, UCF will play without quarterback McKenzie Milton, the AAC’s Offensive Player of the Year, who suffered a catastrophic leg injury in the final game of the regular season. A win would send the Knights to a second straight New Year’s Six bowl.
