Navy men’s lacrosse was picked to place third in the preseason Patriot League poll, which was released on Wednesday. In a vote cast by head coaches and sports information directors, the Midshipmen were predicted to finish behind Loyola-Maryland and Lehigh.
Loyola was a unanimous choice to repeat as Patriot League champions, earning all 16 available first place votes. Voters are not allowed to rank their own schools so Loyola head coach Charley Toomey and sports information director Ryan Eigenbrode both awarded their first place selections to Lehigh.
The Greyhounds garnered 128 total points as compared to 109 for the Mountain Hawks.
