Navy men's basketball looked like a vastly improved program during the non-conference portion of the schedule, compiling a seven-game winning streak that was the longest since 2008.
In their Patriot League season opener on Wednesday night, the Midshipmen reverted to the type of team that hasn't won more than 13 games since the 2008-2009 season.
Bucknell shot a sizzling 54 percent from the floor and took advantage of 19 turnovers in blowing out Navy, 88-58, in the conference opener for both teams at Sojka Pavilion.
"We played very, very poorly. We got sideways right from the outset and never got straightened out," head coach Ed DeChellis said.
