Those are the highlights of the Patriot League men’s and women’s basketball schedule unveiled Monday morning.
The Patriot League Council of Presidents endorsed a unique plan amid the coronavirus pandemic for member schools to begin play on Saturday, Jan. 2, 2021. Eight of the 10 basketball-playing schools will not be permitted to play nonconference contests, although Army West Point and Navy were granted exemptions because of their physical component as part of their overall mission.
“We have accomplished the first step in the planning process for the 2021 Patriot League men’s and women’s basketball season,” said Lafayette College president Alison Byerly, chair of the Council of Presidents.
