Army outscored the Navy men’s basketball team 12-3 in the closing four minutes of a 72-61 victory by the Black Knights over the Mids, Saturday afternoon at Christl Arena, in West Point, N.Y.
“We just couldn’t find enough offense,” said Navy head coach Ed DeChellis, who saw the team’s six-game winning streak at the venue halted. “It is a two-possession game or a one-possession game and we couldn’t get the ball to go in the basket.”
After a tight first half that saw the score tied five times and the lead change hands on eight occasions, the Black Knights scored the opening four points of the second half to take a 39-36 lead.
