Navy football’s Saturday home game against Memphis has been postponed due to ongoing coronavirus issues surrounding the Midshipmen, The Capital has learned.
The Midshipmen paused all football activities Thursday after it was revealed that positive tests for COVID-19 and subsequent contact tracing had sent a significant number of players into the isolation wing at Bancroft Hall.
The American Athletic Conference announced Thursday morning the Tulsa at Navy game, scheduled for noon this past Saturday in Annapolis, would be postponed. That game has not been rescheduled and may not be since the Midshipmen and Golden Hurricane do not have any mutual open dates.
