NAVY KEY: Pressure the quarterback, mix up coverages
Memphis quarterback Brady White showed last Saturday he could pick apart a defense if given time to throw. White completed 22 of 28 passes for 358 yards and five touchdowns in just one half of action against Mercer. Navy cannot allow White to operate out of a clean pocket. Defensive coordinator Dale Pehrson will probably have to pull out some exotic blitzes in order to get pressure on White. Outside linebacker Nizaire Cromartie is Navy’s best pass rusher and must make an impact on this game.
MEMPHIS KEY: Win the turnover battle
That was the different in last season’s meeting as the Tigers forced five turnovers, all of which were committed by quarterback Zach Abey.
