Navy keeps eye on AAC prize

TULSA – Navy has a traditional routine it goes through after victories.

It starts with a variety of speakers, beginning with coach Ken Niumatalolo and usually including one of the captains, the athletic director and possibly a high-ranking officer.

The Midshipmen then sing an altered version of Anchors Aweigh while jumping up and down in unison and spraying water bottles amid the jumbled mass of players.

There was none of that following Navy's impressive 44-21 blowout of Tulsa here on Saturday night. There was some celebrating on the field as the Mids sang the alma mater with the band, but things had settled down by the time the players got back into the locker room.
