In order for his squad to "have lot of fun" during its Sunday afternoon contest with visiting Goucher, Navy sophomore forward Tom Lacey stated that he and his front-court mates would have to own the offensive and defensive backboards.
Despite the absence of 6-foot-6 forward Jace Hogan, who was sidelined with an Achilles strain, Lacey and company did just that, leading the Midshipmen to a 76-47 men's basketball victory against the Division III Gophers for the team's second consecutive victory.
"(Navy) Coach (Ed DeChellis) talked about getting after the (offensive) boards and outrebounding this team and that will help us have a lot of fun today," Lacey said.
