It looks as if Navy’s instability at quarterback in 2020 could continue, as the offensive staff reopened the quarterback competition this week.
Offensive coordinator Ivin Jasper said starter senior Dalen Morris and backup junior Tyger Goslin will be tested during practice and in the meeting room to determine who should start Navy’s next game against Memphis Nov. 14.
The quarterback position has been in constant flux this fall. Morris started the season opener against BYU and was benched at halftime. Perry Olsen, who emerged from August training camp as the backup, played the second half.
Olsen, who entered preseason practice atop the depth chart and lost the job to Morris, announced his intention to transfer on Sept.
