No player raised his stock during Navy's season opener more than Kevin McCoy.
McCoy was not listed on the two-deep going into the Colgate game, but is now after making quite an impression.
McCoy was the team's most productive outside linebacker, recording five tackles while also playing a part in both turnovers the Midshipmen created. The 6-foot-4, 205-pound sophomore forced a fumble with a jarring hit in the third period then recovered a fumble and returned it 54 yards for a touchdown in the fourth quarter.
Not bad for a youngster who only made brief appearances in two games in 2014 and was once fourth on the depth chart.
