Navy football contemplates life after Keenan Reynolds

In a best-case scenario, Keenan Reynolds only has five games remaining in his illustrious career — three regular season, a bowl and possibly the American Athletic Conference championship.

While it is not a topic anyone wants to contemplate in the midst of the finest Navy football season in recent history, it is not too early to consider life after Keenan Reynolds.

Tago Smith is the heir apparent to Reynolds, having served capably as the backup for the past two seasons. There has been too small a sample size to predict how Smith will fare as the starter over the course of an entire season, but it's encouraging to the coaching staff that he has performed well whenever called upon.
