There's a reason why Cindy Timchal is the winningest women's lacrosse coach in NCAA Division I history.
Timchal drew up the ideal gameplan and her Navy players went out and executed it to perfection in pulling off a stunning upset of Patriot League powerhouse Loyola.
Junior midfielder Jenna Collins was the offensive catalyst with eight points while goalie Ingrid Boyum anchored a suffocating defensive effort as No. 2 Navy routed top-seeded Loyola, 15-5, in the Patriot League Tournament championship at Ridley Athletic Complex.
Collins scored five goals and dished off three assists to lead Navy (15-4), which earned an automatic berth into the NCAA Tournament.
