A Naval Academy assistant basketball coach is expected to have a full recovery after suffering a heart attack Sunday during the Annapolis Ten Miler race, academy officials said.
Emmett Davis, 55, who was re-hired in May, was listed in good condition Monday night at Anne Arundel Medical Center.
"Thanks to an incredible job by Annapolis medics working the race and the cardiac staff at Anne Arundel Medical Center, (he) is expected to have a full recovery," Navy athletic spokesman Scott Strasemeier said.
Davis was stricken on the return leg of the race as crossed the Naval Academy Bridge.
