Navy was coming off an impressive victory over Boston University while Loyola was looking to rebound from a disappointing defeat at Colgate when the teams met last year.
The Greyhounds clearly had more motivation that afternoon at Ridley Athletic Complex, going on 6-0 runs in both halves en route to a 17-7 rout of the Midshipmen.
It's a similar situation this season as Loyola must regroup after getting blown out by Duke, 15-6, last Saturday. Meanwhile, Navy put together its most complete effort of the 2016 campaign, blasting Bucknell 13-6.
"Loyola came out smoking and really took it to us from start to finish," Navy head coach Rick Sowell said of last year's matchup.
