Navy normally practices indoors at Halsey Field House whenever there is inclement weather.
However, Navy coach Ken Niumatalolo said the Midshipmen will practice outdoors throughout this week regardless of the level of precipitation.
That's because forecasts call for steady rain that could be heavy at times during Saturday's service academy showdown against Air Force at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium.
"We're going to stay outdoors so we get accustomed to playing in the rain and handling wet footballs," Niumatalolo told the audience at the Navy football luncheon on Tuesday. "I hope it doesn't rain in Colorado Springs.
