Navy men's basketball has been on the road so much lately it must have felt strange to play at Alumni Hall.
The Midshipmen sure seemed uncomfortable in their home surroundings for most of Monday night's rematch with the University of South Carolina Upstate.
It was the back end of a rare home-and-home arrangement between the schools. Navy defeated USC Upstate by 12 points on Nov. 19 in Spartanburg, S.C. The Midshipmen played at home three days later before embarking on a season-long, seven-game road swing that saw them post a 6-1 record.
Returning to the friendly confines of Alumni Hall for the first time in three weeks, the Mids seemed out of sync from start to finish.
