Bucknell jumped out to a big early lead and withstood a pair of rallies by the Navy women's basketball team to record a 64-52 victory over the Mids Saturday evening at Sojka Pavilion in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania.
The score was tied at 4-4 when Bucknell (22-6, 16-1 Patriot League) ran off the next 11 points on its way to building a 23-7 lead over Navy (15-13, 9-8) by the end of the first quarter. Bucknell connected on 10 of its first 12 shots of the period and shot 71.4 percent (10-14) from the field in the quarter.
