BALTIMORE – Top-seeded Loyola took care of business in methodical fashion in the opening semifinal of the Patriot League Tournament for women’s lacrosse. The Greyhounds grabbed a 10-goal lead early in the second half and the running clock was in place for the remainder of the game against No. 5 Boston University.
Second-seeded Navy made its own strong statement in the second semifinal, also taking a 10-goal lead early in the second half and implementing a running clock the rest of the way as well during its matchup with No. 3 Lehigh.
Those two dominant wins set the stage for yet another showdown between the Midshipmen and Greyhounds in the Patriot League championship game.
