Kendall Louis comes up short in bid to become 4-time Brigade Boxing champ while Jeannette Steerman gets it done

There had only been only 22 four-time champions in the history of the Brigade Boxing Championships, which have been held at the Naval Academy since 1942.

So difficult was the feat that it wasn’t until 1970 when Roy Golez became the first midshipman to become a four-time champ.

Normally, winning as a plebe to set up the possibility of becoming a four-time champ is the hardest part. However, finishing as a senior is also a challenge, especially when you have a target on your backs.

Kendall Louis learned that lesson the hard way on Friday night at Alumni Hall.
