Offensive coordinator Ivin Jasper has been away from the Navy football program for a few days while dealing with a medical situation involving the youngest of his three children.
Head coach Ken Niumatalolo revealed on Saturday that Jasper was taking some time off in order to be there for his son Jarren, who was admitted to Anne Arundel Medical Center on Friday with an undisclosed condition.
Jasper missed practice on Friday and Saturday, leaving assistant coach Ashley Ingram in charge of the offense. Ingram holds the title of running game coordinator and usually works directly with the offensive line during practice.
