Jack Andrews grew up on Navy lacrosse. The Annapolis resident is the son of a former Navy lacrosse player and remembers spending spring Saturdays at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium.
Andrews thought fleetingly about following in his father’s footsteps, but was not recruited by Navy. The St. Mary’s High graduate was given an opportunity to play at the Division I level by former UMBC head coach Don Zimmerman and has enjoyed a very solid collegiate career.
Now a senior, Andrews admits he is looking forward to playing on the same field that his father used to tread.
