In Good Company: Reynolds seeks to solidify status as one of Navy's all-time greats

Chris McCoy set all sorts of school records from 1995-97 as quarterback when Navy first installed a triple-option offense.

McCoy saw many of those marks surpassed in 2013 and 2014 while several more are in jeopardy of falling this season.

While McCoy doesn't like seeing his name erased from the Navy record book, he does respect the player who is doing it. Current quarterback Keenan Reynolds is well on the way to holding almost all the major offensive marks at Navy, having thrived in the same option system as McCoy.

"Keenan is a great athlete, a very dynamic player," McCoy told The Capital when contacted last week.
