Now the Blue Jays and Midshipmen are meeting on a Tuesday in early February just to keep the series from falling by the wayside.
Such is the changing landscape of Division I men's lacrosse where conference affiliations trump traditional rivalries. Johns Hopkins plays all five of its Big Ten Conference opponents in April while Navy's Patriot League schedule begins in late February and continues into mid-April.
