Tony Grantham is returning to Annapolis for a third stint as an assistant with the Navy football program, The Capital has learned.
Grantham, who spent a total of 10 years on staff during two previous stops, spent the 2017 season as the defensive coordinator at Western Illinois.
Grantham was a well-respected member of the Navy staff while coaching defensive line and outside linebackers from 2003 to 2006. He spent one season as an assistant at Campbell University before returning to Annapolis as outside linebackers coach from 2008 through 2013.
The Radford University graduate departed a second time to become inside linebackers coach at Louisville under his older brother Todd, who was defensive coordinator.
