Gladchuk confident Navy football will continue run of success

Athletic director Chet Gladchuk was bullish about Navy football when asked to provide an assessment of the program recently.

Gladchuk is rightfully proud the Midshipmen have posted winning records in 12 of the last 13 seasons. After all, he had a big hand in helping it happen — having hired Paul Johnson, promoted Ken Niumatalolo, directed a dramatic renovation of Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium and approved countless other improvements that have helped put Navy football on sound footing.

"We've done a great job over the last decade and change of creating a legacy of excellence," Gladchuk said in a one-on-one interview with The Capital during the American Athletic Conference Football Media Day in Newport, Rhode lsland.
