Freshmen wide receivers turning heads at Navy training camp

Marcell Gleaton made a sharp stop-and-go move then accelerated past the cornerback he had just juked. The 6-foot-3, 216-pounder glided down the sideline, caught a pass from quarterback Garret Lewis in stride and raced untouched into the end zone.

Gleaton is one of three freshmen wide receivers who have already impressed the coaching staff just two weeks into August training camp. Collins Woods III and Mychael Cooper have also been doing good things and there is a chance all three could be on the depth chart by the time the Sept. 1 season opener at Hawaii rolls around.
