The Miami Dolphins waived former Navy football standout Malcolm Perry on Tuesday as part of the process of reducing the roster to the mandatory 53-player limit.
Miami selected Perry in the seventh round of the 2020 NFL draft and he made the 53-man roster coming out of August training camp last year. He was listed as a running back on the roster but was mostly used as a slot receiver.
The 5-foot-10, 190-pound college star appeared in nine games and totaled five rushing yards on three carries and 92 receiving yards on nine receptions for the Dolphins.
