The Navy football team received votes in both the Associated Press and USA Today/Coaches poll a day after the Mids battled No. 15 Notre Dame in South Bend before falling, 41-24.
The Mids received three voting points in the Associated Press poll and two voting points in the USA Today/Coaches poll.
Navy is off to a 4-1 start for the first time since 2006 and will have a bye this week before playing six-consecutive games against foes from the American Athletic Conference starting with Homecoming at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium on Oct. 24 against Tulane at 1 p.
