Sean Williams has been an instrumental player for the Navy football team since his plebe year. Navy’s senior defensive captain has appeared in 37 career games with 25 starts and figures to go down as one of the finest safeties in program history.
So Williams speaks with some authority when he assesses the current state of the Navy secondary.
“I think this is the best talent we’ve had in the secondary during my career,” Williams said toward the end of August training camp. “I’m seeing some older guys who haven’t played much who are really stepping up.
