Navy head football coach Ken Niumatalolo announced Friday that former Navy football standout David Mahoney has joined his staff as the recruiting coordinator. Mahoney will assist director of player personnel Omar Nelson with all aspects of Navy’s recruiting efforts.
“The number one thing for me when making a hire is to make sure we bring in good people that will maintain our culture and I have no doubt that David Mahoney is the perfect person to do that,” said Niumatalolo. “David was not only a great player here, but also an outstanding midshipman and officer in the United States Navy.
