Much like Navy, the College of Charleston is trying to learn how to win games late. With Cameron Johnson hitting a couple of big shots, the Cougars took a big step in the right direction Monday night.
Johnson made two 3-pointers on consecutive possessions to give the visiting Cougars the cushion they need to hold off the Midshipmen, 72-58, at Alumni Hall.
Shawn Anderson had a career-high 21 points to go along with six rebounds to lead Navy (0-2), which got off to a strong start for the second straight game. The Midshipmen led 11-0 early as Jace Hogan scored the game's first three baskets.
