NAVY WOMEN'S SOCCER: Freshman Ash Fairow scored two goals as the third-seeded Mids routed sixth-seeded American, 6-0, on Tuesday in a quarterfinal game of the Patriot League Tournament. Clare MacAdam, the league's top goal scorer, tallied her 12th of the season, while Natalie Dzhandzhapanyan, Courtney Mason and Eleanor Pratt also scored for the Mids.
Navy (11-6-4) advances to the semifinals to face second-seeded Bucknell on Friday at 7 p.m. in Boston, Massachusetts.
"Our defense has really improved over the last month and to be able to finish the way we did tonight was great to see," Navy head coach Carin Gabarra said on the dominating win.
