NAVY SWIMMING: The number of current Navy swimmers who have qualified for the 2016 U.S. Olympic Team Trials increased to seven during an open long course (50-meter length pool) meet held over the weekend at Lejeune Hall in Annapolis.
The trials will be held June 26-July 3 at the CenturyLink Center in Omaha, Nebraska.
Jonathan Debaugh qualified for the trials in the 200 butterfly with his posting of 2:00.90 (2:01.99 is the standard). David Carlson also advanced to Omaha with his time of 56.56 in the 100 backstroke (57.19). Marlin Brutkiewicz previously qualified for the trials in the 100 breaststroke with his time of 1:03.
