NAVY FOOTBALL: Senior fullback Chris Swain has been named the ECAC Offensive Player of the Week and the Naval Academy Athletic Association Athlete of the Week for his performance in Navy's win over Memphis.
Swain rushed for 108 yards and three touchdowns on 18 carries to help Navy to a 45-20 win against then-No. 15/15 Memphis, snapping the Tigers' winning streak at 15 games and keeping the Midshipmen unbeaten in American Athletic Conference play. Swain's first touchdown of the game tied the score at 7-7 in the first quarter, while his two-yard score in the second period gave the Midshipmen a 14-10 lead.
