NAVY BASEBALL: Head coach Paul Kostacopoulos won his 900th career game on Wednesday afternoon as the Navy baseball team led wire-to-wire in a 7-4 victory over Delaware State at Terwilliger Brothers Field at Max Bishop Stadium. The Mids’ (23-8) victory on Wednesday was fueled by a fast offensive start that saw the host club jump out to a 5-0 lead over the Hornets (3-24) after two innings. Strong efforts on the mound by Navy’s starting pitcher Nicholas Elder and final reliever Colin Brady to the tune of six combined scoreless and hitless innings bookended the team’s early offensive production.
