NAVY BASEBALL: The Mids, the 2017 Patriot League regular season baseball champions, were recognized on Wednesday with a league-high seven all-league honorees and a pair of major league awards. Senior shortstop Travis Blue and senior right-hander Kyle Condry were named as recipients of the Patriot League Player and Pitcher of the Year, respectively.
Blue, the holder of NCAA Division I's longest consecutive games started streak at 220 games,finished the regular season ranked first in the league in hits with 73, second in batting average at .354, second in doubles (16), second in triples (4), third in runs scored (50), third in RBIs (44) and fourth in stolen bases (15).
