NAVY WOMEN'S SOCCER: Clare MacAdamscored two goals as the Mids built a big first-half lead and went on to defeat visiting Maryland, 5-3, on Wednesday night at the Glenn Warner Soccer Facility.
It was the first time in 11 tries that the Mids were able to take down in-state rival Maryland.
"This was a great win for our program, especially against a good program like Maryland," Navy head coach Carin Gabarra said about defeating the Terrapins for the first time in program history. "We were able to do a lot of good things on offense and were able to keep up that pressure for the entire 90 minutes.
