Shawn Anderson, Nourse Fox and Tom Lacey hatched a plan during the year they spent together at the Naval Academy Prep School.
Those three recruits decided with true determination to do whatever it took to turn around the Navy men’s basketball program during their careers. The Midshipmen had managed just 20 total wins in the three previous seasons and Anderson, Fox and Lacey were not willing to suffer such lack of success.
“I remember the three of us talking all the time and saying we wanted to go down there and change things,” Lacey said of those discussions during the school year in Newport, Rhode Island.
